How do I determine the value of my business?

There are a few different methods. Generally, it would be based on the value of assets or revenue generated.

What is vendor due diligence?

A financial study of a sale business conducted on behalf of the seller that outlines problems and concerns pertinent to possible buyers of the business.

How do I find a buyer for my business?

Beyond digital or traditional media, you could also engage a business broker or real estate agent. In many instances, companies will sell within the seller’s existing network, to current or previous clients or even through good old word of mouth.

Do I need to pay tax on the proceeds from the sale?

Yes, Capital Gains Tax may be applicable. You should also check if Goods & Services Tax needs to be applied to the sale price of your individual business assets or if you need to repay GST credits.
